Event24x7, was designed in both star and cluster architecture and includes 3 major components:
CES – Central Event System
Is the heart of the system, windows-based, and is used for activating the systems setup, defending alert rules and managing all IT elements of the organization.
DES - Distributed Event Server
Has Similar functionalities as CES component, though it major role is to reduce the load from the CES, handle traffic, performs initial rule processing and message suppression.
Each CES systems requires at least one Distributed Event Server installation, additional DES systems are required when implemented in cluster architecture.
RES - Remote Event Server
Although Event24x7 advanced suite of solution functionalities do not require agent installation at remote location, there are some cased which organizations demand those, as a result, TriggerPlus has developed the RES which probes and controls critical systems due to performance issues or when information security is at high risk.
